Tove Lo, SOMA San Diego

On May 25, 2023, Tove Lo came to the world famous SOMA San Diego for her Dirt Femme Tour. SOMA can hold roughly 2,300 occupants in its main hall, which is where Tove Lo performed her sold out show.

Tove Lo rose to stardom in 2014 after releasing her sleeper hit “Habits (Stay High)” which peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Following the success she would then release her second hit single “Talking Body”. She was also featured on Alesso’s single “Heroes (We Could Be)”, which would also be a commercial success and further blast Tove Lo into stardom.

Dirt Femme will mark her fifth studio album, that was released on October 14, 2022. She has stated in an interview to Rolling Stone that the album would be “be a very beautiful visual and sonical (sic) journey” . Which she also brought with her on tour.

The show was visibility beautiful and was able to make everyone forget everything around them. It was just the audience and Tove Lo making a connection that night.

Tove Lo got the crowd going with her song “Pineapple Slice” and they absolutely love it. She came out in a high ponytail, body colored corset that had gold stripes running down it and black leather bottoms. But, the most memorable part of the show was the hit “disco tits’, she would used this time of the show to actually show her breasts to the crowd. Which has been a tour favorite act of the show.

Overall, the show was a blast and the crowd loved every minute of it. It almost seemed like they didn’t want it to end. Really can you blame them? Tove Lo knows how to keep a crowd wanting more. If you missed it, she still has dates left on her tour while her next stop will be on May 27, 2023 in Napa, CA.
